narrative

1.arrow is an example of this since Oliver[main character] returns to the safety of his home after being missing for years so there is a state of existing harmony and then there is a disequilibrium when the man who killed his father attacks him and so he acts as a vigilante and kills him causing a new state of equilibrium and the conflict is over.

2.The opening scene of river dale begins with the camera zooming into the sheriffs office and describes it as "innocent" indicating that the plot is gonna be involving a crime that may get the police involved. As the camera zooms into the road sign the narrator mentions how "there are shadows" and that this small town is not what its portrayed to be. The cut of the scene that does not show what happened to the twin creates a more dramatic effect and mystery. The gloomy and dark atmosphere  also creates an ominous effect and creates more suspense. The narrator uses enigma codes in his narrative when describing the incident of the missing twin to hold our attention and not give too much away.

3. Stranger Things is an example since Hopper [the sheriff] saved a child from the a demo-gorgon which is a supernatural monster, pretty little liars since the detective saves them from their stalker ,  The vampire diaries since Stefan saves them from the devils fire by dying for his friends.

4.In pretty little liars Spencer comes from a high class family that is well off financially however she marries Toby who has a criminal record and descends from a working class family.

5.Dominant values are portrayed which is mainly influenced by our culture.

6.The enigma code controls how much information the audience are given to hold our interest which creates mystery and the action code creates events that are important to the lead up of the resolution.

7.episodic narrative- plot that can be resolved in one episode.
overarching narrative-a situation that conforms to an overreaching set of aims.
mixed narrative-focus on different parts of the complex narrative
multi strand narrative- more than one narrative running through parallel to the narrative with more than one character and location.

8.Often adverts offer a problem [ bad breath ] and then a resolution [toothpaste] to buy their product to get good breath
